One of my most faithful plants in my succulent garden is this echeveria. Late this summer, she turned a lovely shade of rose thanks to the south-facing place on the back patio. When I sat down to paint my version, I recalled the vibrant greens from earlier in the year. Deep greens and blues and red capture the spirit of the echeveria completely.
The final painting is matted with a 12-inch white border. A black frame with high-contract poly “glass” is also available.
(Side note: I’ve ordered new watercolors in rose and pink so I can attempt to honor her late summer/fall colors.)
